The Mack Brand
The Mack brothers started as carriage makers in Brooklyn NY in 1893, leaders in innovation design and technology led to the formation of The Mack Truck Motor Company in 1914, where Mack has developed and manufactured a range of vehicles for the transport industry ever since.
Mack has earned a reputation worldwide for its strength and tenacity in the road transport, construction and infrastructure industries.
In December 2000 Mack Trucks Inc. was purchased by AB Volvo Sweden, making it part of one of the largest truck manufacturers in the world. Mack has numerous manufacturing and assembly plants, including a factory in Brisbane that builds all of the current range of Mack Trucks sold in Australia. Having a local manufacturing base means Mack Trucks can be custom built to suit a customer’s requirements in Australian conditions.
